Charlie Waits

Charlie waiting hopefully for me to come upstairs

When he thinks it’s time to go to bed Charlie will scream at me and pace back and forth between me and the door. He will do this until he is exhausted and then finally gives up. Here he has almost given up but is sitting at the top of the stairs waiting to see whether or not I am following him to bed. This worked in the favour of this photo as he sat still while I took this 3 second exposure shot without a flash. After this shot he gave up on me and went to bed.

Do you use a tripod or is there a stabilizer in your camera?
We’re back up to 4 cats and we are definitely the trained monkeys as far as they are concerned. Or semi-trained, depending on which one you ask.

It has a stabilizer but it’s not Charlie friendly. It really doesn’t seem to do much if you ask me. I still manage to take blurred photos, even on the brightest days. It doesnt seem to have any effect on anything taken over 1/250, never mind 1 or 3 seconds. Besides that, I am so frightened of my photos that I can’t stop shaking when I take them.

When I am home I keep my camera on a tripod ( I don’t know how I lived without one for so many years) so that I can drop it in place whenever I want to take a picture.

Charlie has been such a big, important, fantastic part of my life for 18 years now, since he was 5 weeks old, but I don’t think I will want that again for a long time, if ever, after heĀ  dies. I never wanted a cat to begin with but since I got him he’s enriched my life in more ways than I could ever mention. I thought he’d be gone by now but he is very selfish and keeps getting healthier.
